Laserfoil Laminate for Laser Engraving
Detailed Information about Laserfoil Laminate for Laser Engraving from 908 Ltd
Laserfoil Engraving Laminate is a premium ultra-thin engraving material developed for CO₂ and diode laser engraving. Manufactured from durable modified acrylic with a micro foiled surface, it produces crisp, high-contrast engraving while remaining just 0.2mm thick.
Supplied with a high-performance self-adhesive backing, Laserfoil bonds securely to flat, curved and irregular surfaces where thicker engraving laminates are less suitable. Its flexible construction makes it ideal for machine labels, control panels, asset tags and nameplates that require a professional, low-profile finish.
Laserfoil offers an easy-to-process solution for everything from one-off projects to production runs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Laserfoil be engraved with any laser machine?
Yes, it works effectively with CO₂ and diode lasers. The laser burns or cuts through the thin metallic or coloured surface layer to expose the contrasting base colour beneath.
Is Laserfoil suitable for outdoor use?
Most colours are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Bright Yellow and Bright Silver are recommended for indoor use only. For demanding external environments, If you require a metallic engraving material suitable for outdoor environments, our External Laminate range with 3M 467 adhesive tape applied offers greater long-term weather resistance.
How do I stop Laserfoil moving during laser engraving?
Because it is incredibly thin and lightweight, the foil can shift or ripple during the engraving process. We recommend using suitable work holding products such as low-tack tapes or a Seklema Multi Mat to keep the material flat and secure throughout the laser engraving and laser cutting process.
Can I watch a demonstration before buying?
Yes. Watch our 'how to use' video on YouTube for an introduction to Laserfoil laminate and a short video demonstration showing how we engrave it using a co2 laser machine.
