Flexline Engraving Laminate
Detailed Information about Flexline Laminate for Laser Engraving
Flexline Laminate has been developed specifically for laser engraving and cutting, offering exceptional engraving quality with fast production time. The material features an ultra-thin hot-stamped foil surface bonded to a modified acrylic base, allowing the laser to produce sharp text, detailed logos, and intricate graphics with very little residue.
The reduced engraving depth means lower laser power is required to remove the surface layer, resulting in cleaner edges, faster processing, and less clean-up after lasering.

Frequently Asked Questions
What machines can cut and engrave Flexline laminate?
Flexline laminate is best cut and engraved using CO2 lasers or Diode lasers. Because it features a micron-thin foil surface over a modified acrylic base, lasers burn through the top foil cleanly to reveal the contrasting colour beneath, while leaving a smooth, sealed edge.
For rotary or CNC machine users, we would recommend using our Micro (ABS) Engraving Laminate as a similar alternative material specifically designed for rotary engraving and cutting. However, if you need a material suitable for outdoor applications, Flexline can be rotary engraved.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Our standard colours are suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. Metallic foil finishes such as Silver and Gold are recommended for indoor use only. If you require a metallic engraving material suitable for outdoor environments, our External Laminate range is the better choice.
How do you clean smoke residue off the material?
Because the foiled layer requires less laser power to cut through, it produces minimal cleanup. However, any residual smoke or discoloration can be removed by lightly wiping the surface with a specialist Laser Cleaner or standard furniture polish.
